I have always liked taking photos. Thing is though, whenever I was on a trip or something I didn’t want to take too many photos because I was afraid I would miss out on the experience of just being there and doing what I was doing. I still understand my logic in that, but looking back on the pictures I have makes me wonder why the heck I didn’t take more pictures in the past.
Here’s my opportunity to remedy that. Project 365, a goal of taking a photo a day for 365 days. I started mine yesterday and have posted photos to my Flickr photostream as well as the HooHaa:365 group on Flickr. All I have to work with right now is the camera on my cell phone and the point-and-shoot camera I bought back in 2006 to take pictures in Cape Cod, which didn’t happen for the aforementioned reason – I wanted to experience it. However, I hope to get a new camera soon and will be excited to take lots of pictures with it!
The camera I’m using now is a Fujifilm FinePix A345. While it still works and somehow manages some really nice shots occasionally, it’s just plain old (in terms of technology). And to hope for a decent shot in bad lighting? Forget it. My Blackberry takes better pictures in bad lighting, haha. Let’s just say I use it these days because that’s all I have — not because I want to.
So I’m looking forward to my 365. I’m also looking forward to the fact that there are many other cachers and bloggers out there doing it too, so I’ll feel left behind if I start slacking

It’s not always the camera, it’s the person behind it. Keep taking photos with what you have and it’ll all fall into place!
Oh trust me, haha…I have issues with my camera
Looking forward to your 365! Don’t worry about your camera – I remember a lot of your pics on our road trip turning out pretty good!
I’m looking forward to it too. My problem is that all I’m doing to begin this year is work work work! Makes for some pretty boring pictures lol.
Yep – work with what you’ve got! I wish I HAD my little Fuji point & shoot back again
It was better than the Olympus point & shot we have at present. But alas, we went through two Fuijs and I dropped them so many times that we went for a supposedly indestructable Olympus – it just takes sucky photos of anything green — which is a problem when 80% of the photos we take are green!!!!! Oh well …… guesss I should take my own advice ….hehehehe

I have thrown my camera against a rock a hundred times and it still works
haha It’s durable but outdated. I’m ready for something new!
LOL Well, you’ll just had to drop it a few more times yet! I mananged to ruin mine eventually!!

Heyy! Thanks for the kind comment on my blog… I’ve just discovered geocaching and am already 1. hooked and 2. in love with the people. What a friendly community!
I love the photography project… One of my projects this year is to get some of those photos off of my computer and into albums… I’ve finished one from my trip to NewYork… Digitally scrapbooked it and had it printed in hardcover… It’s beautiful! Love it so much! I have a dream of someday being caught up and having all of my hardcover scrapbooks on a fireplace mantle… A girl can dream, right?
Ohh! I was just starting to do the digital scrapbook deal with my photos from Arizona and South Dakota when my hard drive crashed. I would LOVE to have those photos in a hardcover book for myself
