Welcome to the new Muggles Don't Scare Me!
Welcome! You are now looking at the NEW Muggles Don’t Scare me! blog. I have been working on this for months now and I really hope you’ll enjoy it.
I have switched from using Blogger to a free WordPress account. I really was just interested in learning how WordPress worked so I imported my entire blog including posts and comments. In working to reformat the posts (some of the formatting was lost in the transfer) and playing with some new features for the blog, I discovered I really liked WordPress a lot more than Blogger. And there are a lot of cool, new things for you to play with. There are also some not-so-new things that I tweaked to improve in the switch-over.
What’s new?
- The Web address – Please take note to update your bookmarks. (This also means the RSS feed address has changed, so you might want to re-subscribe to make sure you’re staying up to date!)
- The layout – I like to think this is much more reader friendly than the previous, Blogger layout.
- You can rate the posts!
- Top 5 – When you rate the posts, the top 5 best rated posts will be available on the sidebar so you can see what everyone likes.
- You can subscribe by E-mail
New posts can now be sent to your inbox! - View ALL of my maps. On Blogger, all you got on the blog was the My Finds map. Others were linked on the sidebar because otherwise things got cluttered. Not anymore. There’s a whole page dedicated to maps.
- Categories and Tags – so when you’re looking for content you like, hopefully it’ll be easier.
- About page – Learn more about me and the hobbies in which I participate and write about on this blog.
- Contact page – This is the way to send me an e-mail directly from my blog.
Please note: When I was reformatting the posts, I went ahead and did some editing. Previous post titles have changed, I made sure links were either hot or deleted and references to blog features and locations were updated to reflect the current state of the blog. I don’t promise to have been perfect in this editing so if you find something that isn’t working right, contact me.
