Geocaching continues to make its way into higher education.
A student at Kansas State University started a geocaching club on its campus. This is pretty cool because it’s something I’ve thought about doing at Kent State, but I definitely don’t have the time to contribute to putting one together. Plus, I have no idea how many students are geocachers here and what the level of interest would be.
A news article in the K-State Collegian about the new club says the club has gone on a geocaching trip. Neat idea, and definitely a fun way to connect with your classmates! The article mostly talks about geocaching and how it works, but if you’re here it’s likely you’re already familiar. If not, you can read here about how to go geocaching.
One of the reporters wrote about her first experience geocaching in a separate article. It’s always entertaining to hear about these stories because we’ve all been there at one point. Here’s my story out of the archives.
The paper ran this poll with the stories:

I think it would have been neat to geocache while in college. I didn't start until after. I'm sure it would have been easy to talk friends and coworkers into wanting to go… but like you said – a club would be a lot of dedication and take a lot of time!
